DOWN SYNDROME RESEARCH & PRACTICE

ARTICLES FROM BACK ISSUES AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET

Down Syndrome Research and Practice is published by The Down Syndrome Educational Trust (a registered charity in Britain), in association with The Centre for Disability Studies at The University of Portsmouth.

One of the primary objectives of The Down Syndrome Educational Trust is to disseminate quality information to parents, teachers, speech and language therapists, doctors, researchers and others involved in the care of people with Down syndrome.

In order to support this objective, The Down Syndrome Educational Trust makes articles from back issues freely available on DownsNet in the Online Library.

Online bibliographic database under development ...

To assist with researching information and papers on the Internet, The Down Syndrome Educational Trust is currently developing an online bibliographic database. This will be implemented in two phases: Firstly, it will offer a searchable index of the papers that are available on the DownsNet server, particularly those in the Online Library. It will also index papers to be found elsewhere on the Internet (having been reviewed for quality by an appropiately experienced professional). Secondly, it will offer abstracts of papers from a variety of journals and books, whether available on the Internet or not.

Supporting this service

Obviously, this service requires Trust resources. It is currently funded from general charitable income. Although we plan to seek grant funding and/or sponsorship, we encourage people who find the service useful to consider making a donation towards ongoing development. Please contact funding@downsnet.org for further information.
