DOWN SYNDROME RESEARCH & PRACTICE
A journal of The Down Syndrome Educational Trust

Welcome

Down Syndrome Research and Practice is a multi-disciplinary journal that publishes original research papers and review articles to assist the international scientific research community and to inform parents and professionals involved in the care of those with Down syndrome of the latest scientific knowledge and its implications for good practice.

The journal was founded in 1993 and is published by The Down Syndrome Educational Trust.

As part of the Trust's commitment to disseminating quality information about Down syndrome, a number of articles from past issues are made freely available on this web site.

Down Syndrome Research & Practice News
  • Volume 5, Issue 2 goes to press
Issue 2 of volume 5 is now at press. Details of contents can be viewed here...
  • Apologies for the break in publications
Due to a shortage of submissions during late 1996 to autumn 1997, Down Syndrome Research and Practice volumes are currently running around a year behind. Thus, volume 5 'should' have been published during 1997, but is being published during the first half of 1998. Down Syndrome Research and Practice was nominated to publish papers from the 6th World Congress on Down Syndrome in Madrid in October 1997, and papers have been being submitted since late 1997. It is currently our hope that both volumes 5 and 6 will be published during 1998.
